Alisher Qodirov intends to file a complaint against those who are insulting him.

Uzbekistan Legislative Chamber deputy Alisher Qodirov's call not to use gas for heating homes and cooking has caused widespread public debate.

The deputy says that people who insult others on social media should be punished. He writes that he is open to criticism, but those who use insulting words towards him should be punished.

"A free society is the core of national development. Freedom is an opportunity for those with wisdom, and brings hardship to those without it," he writes.
