On March 12th, the Utair (Russia) airline's Boeing 737 flying from Samarkand to Moscow (UT-810) was forced to return to the airport due to an engine malfunction reported.

It is noted that a compressor stall occurred in the left engine as the airplane was climbing. The pilots attempted to increase the engine power, but another compressor stall occurred. Subsequently, the captain decided to return to Samarkand.

After performing several holding maneuvers, the airplane landed safely at Samarkand airport, despite being overweight.

Experts are currently investigating and addressing the causes of the malfunction. The “Rosaviation” has started an investigation into the incident.
