In the city of Antalya, Turkey, during a diplomatic forum, Arab state leaders once again condemned any attempts to forcibly displace the population of Gaza and called for an immediate cessation of gunfire in the region.

The Arab-Islamic summit held in the city of Antalya confirmed once again its opposition to the forced displacement of the Gaza population and called for an immediate halt to firing. The committee refreshed its stance within the framework of the diplomatic forum in Antalya, Turkey. 

At the meeting of the Arab-Islamic Committee on Gaza held in Antalya, Turkey, on Friday, any attempt to forcibly displace the population of Gaza was strictly rejected, and it was emphasized that firing in the region must be stopped immediately. This was announced in the official statements of the participating countries at the meeting.

According to a statement from the Saudi Arabian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the meeting was attended by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Prince Faisal bin Farhan. The meeting discussed “the development of the situation in Gaza, violations against international law and humanitarian legislation committed by Israel, strengthening joint actions against all violations, and opposing serious human rights violations against the Palestinian people through policies leading to their displacement.”

The Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs also issued a separate statement, announcing the participation of Minister Badr Abdelatty in the meeting. Cairo provided information about the efforts directed towards the full and immediate implementation of the ceasefire agreement that came into force on January 19th.

According to the Egyptian statement, the meeting discussed the necessity of transitioning to the second phase of the agreement – namely, the release of hostages and prisoners, as well as the withdrawal of Israeli forces from Gaza.

Abdelatty once again emphasized Egypt's firm rejection of plans aimed at altering the demographic composition of Gaza and relocating the Palestinian people outside their lands. He noted that “such actions are a blatant violation of international humanitarian law, derail peace efforts, and pose a threat to the peace and security of the entire region.”

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Jordan also released a statement, indicating the participation of Minister Ayman Safadi in the meeting.

The committee is composed of the foreign ministers of Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Qatar, Bahrain, Turkey, Indonesia, Nigeria, Palestine, and the UAE, along with the secretaries-general of the Arab League and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation. Representatives from Spain, Slovenia, Norway, the European Union, Russia, China, Great Britain, and France also participated in the meeting.
