An Agency for the Regulation of Telecommunications is to be established in Uzbekistan. The information service of the Ministry of Justice reported on this.
It is reported that the President's decree "On measures to improve the regulatory system in the field of telecommunications" has been adopted.
According to the decree, an Agency for the Regulation of Telecommunications will be established. The agency will monitor the quality of services provided by operators and providers for compliance with established requirements at least once a month, according to an approved schedule.
The agency is considered independent in financial and structural terms, as well as in decision-making within its competence, and is accountable to the Cabinet of Ministers in its activities.
