Russia's Rosselkhoznadzor announced that no restrictions have been imposed on the import of fruit and vegetable products from Uzbekistan.
According to a statement from the Rosselkhoznadzor agency, on May 29, 2026, Rosselkhoznadzor proposed to the authorized body of Uzbekistan to hold technical negotiations. The negotiations are aimed at improving the mechanisms for safe and uninterrupted supply of Uzbek fruit and vegetable products to Russia.
In this regard, the agency commented on reports circulated in some media outlets, emphasizing that there are no bans or restrictions on product imports.
For reference, in January–February 2026, Uzbekistan exported 219,900 tons of fruits and vegetables. According to data from the State Statistics Committee, the export volume amounted to $207.3 million, which is a 14% increase compared to the same period last year.
The export composition mainly included vegetables, fruits and berries, as well as legumes, nuts, and other agricultural products, respectively.
