The family of the former president of Kyrgyzstan was forcibly evicted from their home.

In accordance with the court's decision, the property of former president Almazbek Atambayev, including his house in Koi-Tash, was confiscated.

According to the Kyrgyz State Agency for State Property Management, the house and land plot in the village of Koi-Tash, Alamudun district, Chui region, where the family of former President Almazbek Atambayev lived, have been returned to state ownership by a court decision. The "zamon.uz" writes that the family of former President Almazbek Atambayev is being forcibly evicted from their house in the village of Koi-Tosh. 

Agency representatives emphasized that this area will now be allocated for facilities serving social needs. According to plans, a nursing home and a kindergarten are scheduled to be built there.

For reference, on June 3, 2025, the Pervomaisky District Court of Bishkek announced the verdict sentencing Almazbek Atambayev to 11 years and 6 months of imprisonment. At the same time, according to the court decision, a number of properties of the former president, including his house in Koi-Tash, were confiscated and transferred to state ownership.

We recall that Almazbek Atambayev was the head of state of Kyrgyzstan from 2011 to 2017. After leaving the presidency, he remained active in the political arena and has been named as a suspect in various criminal cases.
