A group of journalists recently participated in a press tour to get acquainted with the new "IT-town" in Tashlak district of Fergana region. During the visit, they learned about the level of foreign language studies, startup garages, and innovations at the center.
According to information from Sultanbek Boqijonov, the chief specialist of the Fergana regional administration, more than 600 students are currently being educated at the center. They are gaining knowledge in the fields of programming, foreign languages, robotics, and 3D modeling.
The specialist stated that the funds allocated for the project are paying off. According to Boqijonov, the personnel being trained at these centers can find their place not only locally but also in the international IT market.
The education is completely free. Teachers are provided with high salaries and stable working conditions. Their activities are constantly supported.
The center adheres to the principle of inclusivity, and an adapted infrastructure has been established for youth with disabilities. In particular, there are special ramps at the entrances to the building, and every room is accessible without barriers.
There are coworking zones operating 24/7 within the "IT-town" area. Here, young people are provided with free internet, Wi-Fi, and other necessary amenities.
The project is becoming not just a place for youth to gain knowledge, but also a new destination for professional development, IT startups, and freelancing activities. The center in Fergana is being presented as an example in this regard.
