Based on the relevant decision of the government, the permission for and registration of the burial of deceased persons will be digitized. The Ministry of Justice reported on this.
According to the report, new electronic services aimed at monitoring these activities through an electronic information system will be introduced. By June 1, 2026, the "Single Electronic Register for Burial Registration" module of the "Single Electronic Archive of the FSCS" information system and its mobile application will be developed.
Starting from March 1 of next year, after the death of a deceased person is registered, a free information notice with a QR code about the death registration will be sent to the personal account on my.gov.uz of their spouse, parents, or children. This information notice bearing the QR code will be considered equivalent to a state-issued certificate.
From July 1 to December 31, 2026, the following procedure for conducting burial activities will be implemented on an experimental basis in Tashkent city:
- The permission for the burial of deceased persons by the cemetery manager (supervisor) will be carried out exclusively using the electronic module or its mobile application;
- The procedure for managers (supervisors) to conduct the registration of burial activities in paper form will be abolished.
