Over the past two days, following the draw for the 2026 World Cup, the influential "TransferRoom" center, specializing in transfers, has compiled and published a ranking of the most expensive players from the national teams making their debut at this World Cup.
To be more precise, as of now, it has become clear that the national teams of Uzbekistan, Jordan, Cape Verde, and Curaçao will participate in the World Championship for the first time in their history at the 2026 World Cup.
Based on the transfer values of these teams' players, the "TransferRoom" center recognized "Manchester City" club and Uzbekistan national team defender Abduqodir Husanov as the highest-rated footballer among the 2026 World Cup debutants. The 21-year-old Uzbek footballer is recorded at the top of the ranking with a value of 47.8 million euros.
The second place in the list was taken by Cape Verde national team central defender Logan Costa, who plays for Spain's "Villarreal" club, with his transfer price set at 21.7 million euros. The next two spots were occupied by the attacking footballers of the Uzbekistan national team, who defend the honor of the "Istanbul Başakşehir" club in the Turkish championship — Abbosbek Fayzullaev and Eldor Shomurodov. "TransferRoom" valued them at 10 million and 9.3 million euros, respectively.
The strong top five was concluded by the attacking footballer of the Jordan national team, another Asian representative making its first World Cup appearance, Musa Al-Taamari. The leather ball master, who plays for France's "Rennes" club, is valued at 8.9 million euros.
For reference: based on the intercontinental play-off results, other national teams making their first World Cup appearance may still join. However, it is known that none of their players can match Abduqodir Husanov in terms of transfer value.
