President Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited the Center of Islamic Civilization and assessed it as a unique complex that reflects the history and spiritual heritage of the people.
President Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited the Center of Islamic Civilization built in Tashkent and familiarized himself with its rich expositions, scientific, and educational opportunities.
The head of state first entered the Holy Quran hall and reviewed the unique manuscripts in this sanctuary, considered the spiritual "heart" of the center. More than 100 Quran manuscripts from various dynastic periods, including rare sources from the Samanid, Timurid, and other eras, are collected here.
The center is considered one of the world's largest scientific-educational complexes in terms of its total area, architectural solutions, and capabilities. It was built on a 10-hectare area within the Hazrati Imam complex, with the dome height reaching 65 meters.
Furthermore, a modern museum, library, scientific laboratories, and international cooperation platforms have been established at the center. The library fund contains over 45,000 publications and 350,000 electronic sources.
During the visit, the President was also informed about the innovative solutions implemented at the center — digitization of exhibits, providing information via QR codes, and conditions created for persons with disabilities.
The center has also earned international recognition in a short time. It has been included by influential publications among the world's most anticipated museums.
In his speech, the President emphasized that this complex serves to manifest the true history of our people and the legacy of our great ancestors:
— Today is a great celebration on the path of understanding ourselves. Every person who comes here, especially our youth, must know what kind of ancestors' descendants we are, — said the head of state.
At the end of the visit, Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed the center's Book of Distinguished Guests.
