According to weather forecasters, in the first days of June, short-term rain and thunderstorms are expected in some areas. Daytime air temperatures will be around 30-35 degrees.
From the second half of the month, temperatures may rise to 34-39 degrees, and in northern, southern and desert areas, it may reach 40-42 degrees on some days.
“Uzgidromet” notes that there is also a possibility that this summer will be extremely hot. This may be caused by the first signs of the El Niño phenomenon observed in the Pacific Ocean.
According to preliminary estimates, the average summer temperature this year will be slightly above normal. On the hottest days, the air temperature may rise to 42-44 degrees, and in southern and desert areas up to 45-47 degrees.
For reference, the highest temperature recorded in Uzbekistan in June was in 1914 in the city of Termiz, which was 49.6 degrees.
