The District of Columbia court has ruled to remove Donald Trump's name from the Kennedy Center in Washington. Zamon.uz reported this here.

According to Judge Christopher Cooper's ruling, the institution's name must be restored to its previous state within 14 days. Additionally, Trump's name will also be removed from the building's facade, digital systems, and official materials.

The ruling emphasizes that the institution's name was set by Congress, and the authority to change it belongs exclusively to Congress.

At the same time, the court also halted the decision to close the center for reconstruction starting July 4, 2026.

Earlier, Trump had initiated changes to the center's management in 2025 and proposed a name change. However, these decisions were later found to be unlawful by the court.

The institution's management has announced it will appeal the ruling.
