Pakistan launched airstrikes on three provinces of Afghanistan. The attack resulted in 13 deaths, most of whom were children. This was reported by Zabihullah Mujahid, the spokesperson for the interim government in Afghanistan.
According to him, on the night of June 10, the Pakistani Air Force violated Afghanistan's airspace and struck civilian homes in the provinces of Kunar, Khost, and Paktika.
"Last night, the Pakistani army once again violated Afghanistan's airspace and bombed civilian homes in Kunar, Khost, and Paktika provinces. As a result of the attacks, 11 children, one woman, and one elderly man were killed. Additionally, 14 women and children were injured to varying degrees. We strongly condemn this crime against humanity and act of aggression," Mujahid said on his social media page.
For context, relations between Pakistan and Afghanistan became tense in October 2025. At that time, the two sides exchanged strikes, and later a ceasefire agreement was reached through the mediation of Qatar and Turkey.
However, this agreement did not last long. In February of this year, Afghanistan announced that it had launched a large-scale military operation along the Durand Line in response to airstrikes carried out by Pakistan.
Let us recall that earlier it was reported that 12 people were killed and another 20 were injured in an armed clash in Herat province, located in western Afghanistan.
