On June 13, the first round match between the national teams of Canada and Bosnia and Herzegovina, both in Group B of the 2026 FIFA World Cup, took place. The game at Toronto's BMO Field ended in a 1:1 draw.

In the match officiated by Argentine referee Facundo Tello, the score was opened in the 21st minute. Bosnia and Herzegovina striker Jovo Lukić found the back of the net, putting his team ahead.

In the second half, Canadian forward Kyle Larin equalized in the 79th minute, saving his team from defeat.

In the 84th minute, Bosnia and Herzegovina captain Sead Kolašinac suffered an injury and was forced to leave the field.

With this draw, the Canadian national team earned its first ever point in World Cup history.

Following the result, both teams have one point each and occupy the leading positions in the group standings. In another match of the group, on the night of June 13, the national teams of Qatar and Switzerland will face each other.

Canada will face Qatar in the next round on June 19, and will test strength against Switzerland on June 24. Bosnia and Herzegovina, meanwhile, will play against Switzerland on June 18 and against Qatar on June 24.
