US President Donald Trump announced that an agreement to halt hostilities with Iran is scheduled to be signed on Sunday. He stated that after the agreement is implemented, the Strait of Hormuz will be open to all parties. BBC reported on this. reported.

Pakistan's Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, who is participating in the negotiations as a mediator, also stated that the agreement would be finalized within 24 hours, and preparations are underway for its electronic signing afterwards. According to him, the negotiations between the parties have entered their final stage.
However, Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmaeil Baghaei emphasized that the timeline of the agreement cannot be specified, stating that the document will not be signed tomorrow. Tehran continues to approach the negotiations with caution.
In his statement, Trump also warned that if the agreement is not implemented quickly, Washington has "firm alternative options." At the same time, he indicated that issues regarding Iran's nuclear program could be discussed in later stages.
Iran, for its part, has long insisted that its nuclear program serves peaceful purposes and has denied the accusations from Western countries.
In recent months, tensions between the US and Iran have escalated, and the situation around the Strait of Hormuz has become tense several times. Nevertheless, it is reported that the parties have intensified negotiations in recent weeks and are nearing a peace agreement.
