Short-term rain and thunderstorms may occur in several regions of Uzbekistan. This was reported by Uzhydromet.
According to the report, the weather in Tashkent will be partly cloudy and changeable. In the evening, short-term rain and thunderstorms are possible. The wind from the east direction will be 3-8 meters per second, sometimes increasing to 10-12 meters per second and accompanied by dust storms. The temperature will be 22-24 at night and around 36-38 during the day.
In the Republic of Karakalpakstan, short-term rain and thunderstorms are expected in some places in the second half of the day. Wind speed may increase to 13-18 meters per second in some areas. Air temperature will be 18-23 at night and 32-37 during the day.
No precipitation is expected in Khorezm region. The temperature will rise to 18-23 at night and 33-38 during the day.
No precipitation is forecast in Bukhara and Navoi regions either. However, wind may strengthen in some places, and dust storms may occur. During the day, the air temperature will reach 36-41 degrees.
In Tashkent, Syrdarya, Jizzakh, and Samarkand regions, short-term rain and thunderstorms may occur in some places in the second half of the day. The temperature during the day will remain around 33-38 degrees.
No precipitation is expected in Kashkadarya and Surkhandarya regions. The temperature may rise to 42 degrees in some areas.
In Andijan, Namangan, and Fergana regions, short-term rain and thunderstorms are possible in some places towards evening. During the day, the air will warm up to 33-38 degrees.
In the foothill and mountainous regions of the republic, short-term rains and thunderstorms may occur. Experts warn of the risk of mudflows and floods.
Also, according to weather forecasters, on the hottest days of summer, the air temperature across the republic may rise to 42-44 degrees, and in northern, southern, and desert areas to 45-47 degrees.
