The procedure for state registration of medical and pharmaceutical workers has been approved in Uzbekistan. The Ministry of Justice reported this.
According to the decision, starting January 1, 2030, the right to engage in medical and pharmaceutical activities will be granted for a five-year term only to persons who have undergone state registration in the relevant specialty. Employees who have not undergone registration will be prohibited from engaging in professional activity in their specialty.
From July 1, 2027, to January 1, 2030, it will be possible to undergo state registration voluntarily. This will be carried out through the results of a special examination or the process of awarding a qualification category.
Employees with at least 20 years of work experience in their specialty and a scientific degree will be registered without a special examination. However, this does not apply to employees who, at the time of application, have not worked continuously in their specialty for three years or more.
To undergo registration, an application may be submitted through Public Services Centers, the Unified Interactive Public Services Portal, or the medical qualification platform. Applications are accepted around the clock, including weekends and holidays.
The authorized body shall review the application within five working days and decide whether to subject the employee to a special examination or to reject it. The certificate of registration is issued in electronic form; no paper copy is provided.
Specialists who have undergone state registration will need to undergo re-registration every five years in order to continue their professional activity. The decision enters into force three months after the day of its official announcement.
