Zelenskyy said that if Russia stops attacks on Ukraine's energy system, Kyiv will respond in kind. He also stated that Russia is using the revenue from rising oil prices to fund the war and emphasized the importance of limiting its export capabilities.
Earlier, Ukraine had proposed a truce for Easter, but Moscow rejected it. Zelenskyy criticized this decision, stating that for Russia, "nothing is sacred."
It is worth noting that in the winter of 2026, at the urging of Donald Trump, Russia briefly stopped striking Ukrainian energy facilities.
