The European Union plans to allocate a new 90 billion euro credit line for Ukraine starting from the second quarter of 2026. This was announced by the EU Commissioner for Economy, Valdis Dombrovskis. According to him, sanctions against Russia and aid to Ukraine have been one of the main topics at international financial meetings.
At the same time, Russia carried out mass drone and missile attacks on Ukrainian territories. As a result of the recent strikes, at least 17 people were killed and over 100 were injured. It is reported that nearly 700 drones and dozens of missiles were used in the attacks.
Former US President Donald Trump described these attacks as "horrible." European officials, meanwhile, emphasized that the conflicts in the Middle East are benefiting the Russian economy and called for not reducing aid to Ukraine.
EU and NATO leaders also discussed the issue of increasing arms production in Europe. They expressed the need to produce military goods faster and in greater quantities.
