The Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) announced that the "Vtorovo" oil refinery station, located in Russia's Vladimir region, was struck by drones. This was reported by Zamon.uz, citing Meduza. reported.
According to the agency, this is the second attack on this facility during June. According to preliminary data, drones hit the technical building of the station, causing an explosion.
At present, the Ukrainian side has not released any photo or video materials confirming the attack. The authorities of the Vladimir region have also not issued an official statement regarding the incident.
NASA's FIRMS monitoring system did not record a fire at the station's territory. However, a fire source was detected approximately 10 kilometers from the facility.
The SBU called the "Vtorovo" station an important logistics facility supplying petroleum products to export ports, the domestic market, and Moscow. According to data, this facility had previously been attacked by drones on June 10.
Meduza notes that Ukraine has been regularly striking Russia's oil infrastructure in recent months. This has led to an increase in reports about fuel shortages and gasoline deficits in some regions.
