According to Saudi Arabia's state news agency, a helicopter belonging to the country's oil giant Aramco crashed on June 28 in the Ras Tanura area on the eastern coast. This was reported by Zamon.uz, citing foreign sources.
It was reported that the helicopter crashed at approximately 06:00 local time. As a result of the incident, 14 Saudi Arabian citizens were killed.
The causes of the crash are not yet known. Officials have announced that a full investigation into the incident has been launched. Aramco has not yet responded to inquiries regarding the incident.
It is noted that Aramco had recently resumed crude oil loading operations at the Ras Tanura terminal after a hiatus of several months.
Saudi Arabia is considered one of the world's largest oil exporters. The country is increasing its oil and gas production and export volumes against the backdrop of agreements between the United States and Iran in the Middle Eastern energy market.
