On July 7–8 of this year, the "Days of Culture of Uzbekistan" are being held at a high level in the Republic of Belarus. This cultural event serves to further strengthen cultural and humanitarian cooperation between the two countries and to elevate ties in the field of art and culture to a new level.
Within the framework of the program, the Minister of Culture of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Ozodbek Nazarbekov, met with the Minister of Culture of the Republic of Belarus, Marat Markov, and discussed issues of expanding cooperation in the areas of culture, cinema, theater, museums, libraries, cultural education, creative industries, and digitalization.
The parties emphasized the importance of establishing a joint working group, implementing cultural projects, and executing the "Roadmap" aimed at further developing cooperation between the ministries.
During the visit, the delegation familiarized itself with the activities of the Belarus IT Park in Minsk and the Minsk State College of Applied Arts named after A. Glebov.
During the meetings, there was an exchange of views on issues of digitalizing the cultural sphere, applying artificial intelligence and modern technologies to cultural preservation, developing museums and libraries, and broadly introducing them into the creative industry.
Also, the "Days of Uzbek Cinema" were ceremoniously opened at the "Pobeda" cinema in Minsk. The event specially recognized the cooperation of Uzbek and Belarusian filmmakers, new joint projects, and the importance of friendly relations between the two peoples. Within the framework of the program, Uzbek films are being screened for Belarusian audiences.
As one of the main events within the framework of the Days of Culture, on July 8, a solemn concert program with the participation of Uzbek artists and a photo exhibition "New Uzbekistan" will take place at the "Respublika" Palace in Minsk. The concert program will present the finest examples of Uzbek national and contemporary art to the Belarusian public.
The "Days of Culture of Uzbekistan" are of great importance in further strengthening friendship, mutual trust, and cultural cooperation between the two countries, and in bringing the peoples closer through art and culture.
