Another earthquake with a magnitude of 3 was recorded in the Venezuelan capital of Caracas on July 11. Due to the incident, people in some buildings were evacuated as a safety measure.

Meanwhile, the death toll from the powerful earthquakes that occurred on June 24 has reached 4,118. Another 16,740 people were injured, and thousands of citizens are still considered missing.

According to The Guardian, this was the strongest earthquake observed in the country in over a hundred years. The natural disaster destroyed entire residential areas in the coastal state of La Guaira.

Officials have announced that search and rescue operations have been completed. However, some citizens continue to search through the rubble in hopes of finding their loved ones.

The UN has called for the allocation of nearly $300 million to provide assistance to 1.3 million people in order to alleviate the humanitarian situation in Venezuela. According to the organization's estimates, damage to housing and infrastructure amounts to around $37 billion.

Venezuela's interim president, Delcy Rodríguez, emphasized the need to return frozen state assets abroad to finance reconstruction efforts.
