“Manchester United” and “Barcelona” are showing interest in Alejandro Balde, a defender of the Spanish national team. The English club is expected to hold direct negotiations with the player's agent, Jorge Mendes, in the coming hours.
The 22-year-old Balde is considered one of the main candidates for the left flank defense of “Manchester United”. The English club is considering a loan option for the player, rather than a permanent transfer.
Balde did not play in the first match of the new season against “Elche” (5:0). “Barcelona” head coach Hans-Dieter Flick did not even include him in the matchday squad.
Currently, various reports are circulating about Balde's future. “Manchester United” sees the player as a suitable candidate to strengthen the left side of the defensive line.
For the record, Balde's current contract with "Barcelona" runs until 2028. The Transfermarkt portal estimates the 22-year-old footballer's market value at around 50 million euros.
So far, there is no information about an official agreement being reached between the parties.
