Legal actions are being taken against a car thief in Tashkent. This was reported by the press service of the capital's Department of Internal Affairs here.
It is noted that on July 29, 2024, the Sergeli district's Department of Internal Affairs was notified about the theft of a car. A 28-year-old owner of the Matiz car, S.S., left the car doors unlocked and the key in the ignition, resulting in an unknown individual stealing his car.
A criminal case has been initiated under part 1 of Article 267 of the Criminal Code (Vehicle Theft) concerning this incident.
As a result of the measures taken, the car thief, a 39-year-old K.H., was identified and detained. Pre-trial detention has been applied as a precautionary measure against him. The investigation is currently ongoing.
