On September 9, in Doha, the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Innovations of Uzbekistan and Qatar's "Education Above All" foundation signed a memorandum considering the education of Afghan women in Uzbekistan. The ministry's press service reported this.

It is noted that within the framework of this agreement, it is planned to educate 160 Afghan women in Uzbek higher education institutions in medical fields. The training programs will be conducted by Uzbek medical professionals.

A significant portion of the expenses related to the project will be covered by the Qatari side. Specifically, the foundation will allocate financial support amounting to 2.2 million dollars for the education of Afghan women, provision of accommodation, and other necessary expenses.

"The program not only serves to enhance the professional skills of women but also significantly impacts the contribution they can make in the medical field in their homeland. The signing of the memorandum takes the cooperation between the two countries to a new level and further strengthens international relations in the field of education and medicine," — states the report.

According to the ministry, this agreement not only strengthens the relations between Uzbekistan and Qatar but also protects the rights of women in Afghanistan, expands their opportunities to receive education, and creates the possibility for the emergence of confident medical professionals in the future.
