President Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited the construction site of the Olympic village. The President's press service reported this.

This huge complex is being built for the upcoming Asian and Paralympic Games among youth to be held in our country next year.

The competitions will be held in 29 sports recognized by the International Olympic Committee. More than 3,000 athletes from 45 countries of our continent are expected to participate.

The 100-hectare Olympic village will have all the necessary facilities. Currently, the main buildings are rapidly being constructed. In particular, an Olympic stadium with 12,000 seats, a velodrome, a water sports palace, single combat sports and team games complexes, each designed for 2,000 spectators, have been erected.

The head of our state visited these facilities and reviewed the construction progress. Officials provided information about the conditions expected for the opening ceremony and during the competitions.

Shavkat Mirziyoyev paid special attention to convenience and safety issues. He emphasized the necessity of highly digitizing these processes and making extensive use of artificial intelligence tools.

The Olympic village will also have 15 outdoor fields for football, volleyball, tennis, field hockey, track and field, etc. An administrative building which includes museums and offices, gardens, and an artificial lake will be constructed.

Our President also had a conversation with the representative of the construction developer - China's “CAMC Engineering” company.

After the Asian Games, the Olympic city will be used efficiently. As our President pointed out, this place will become the scientific, practical, and training center of our country's sports. The Ministry of Sports, Anti-Doping Agency, State Academy of Sports, Scientific-Research Institute of Physical Education, and Sports Development Center will be located here. Training sessions for professional athletes and skill improvement will be held. The use of the village's infrastructure by regional sports organizations will be implemented.

Here, a modern management system based on the “smart city” concept will be implemented. In general, the village will serve our people for many years as a sports and wellness center.
