The "Uzhydromet" center announced the risk of mudflows on October 11 and during October 13-14 in the regions of the Fergana Valley and in the mountain and foothill areas of the Tashkent region.
In particular:
- Tashkent region: Ohangaron, Bostanliq, Parkent, Piskent, Orta Chirchiq, Yuqori Chirchiq districts, and the cities of Angren, Olmaliq;
- Namangan region: Pop, Kosonsoy, Chortoq, Chust, Namangan, Yangiqo’rg’on districts;
- Fergana region: Sokh, Shohimardon, Fergana, Beshariq districts;
- Andijan region: The districts of Andijan, Asaka, Jalakuduk, Qo’rg’ontepa, Pakhtaobod, Izbaskan, Xo’jaobod, Marhamat and the city of Khanabad might experience flash flood occurrences.
Residents, vacationers, and drivers moving through mountainous and foothill areas are asked to take precautionary measures.
It is noted that there is a possibility of rainwater accumulation across the Republic's territory, which could lead to flooding in the regions.
