The government of Uzbekistan has canceled the requirement to install a "Radar" road sign in front of mobile radars when they are used. This is stipulated in a decision adopted on October 29.
According to the document, the "Radar" sign will now be installed only in front of stationary radars that monitor speed. In accordance with the current traffic rules, the sign must be placed at a distance of no less than 250 meters and no more than 500 meters from the radar.
The decision is aimed at reducing the number of violations by improving the use of photo and video recording equipment for traffic rule violations.
It was previously reported that cameras installed by entrepreneurs also record violations related to not wearing a seat belt.
