In January–September 2026, 711 passengers were denied entry into the country at Georgian airports. Of these, 473 were citizens of Uzbekistan. The Dunyo Information Agency reported this.
Among the main reasons for denial of entry were the inability to clearly explain the purpose of the trip, and the absence of documents confirming hotel booking and the availability of a return airline ticket, medical insurance, and information showing sufficient funds.
Citizens of Uzbekistan are recommended, before traveling, to clearly determine its purpose and to prepare documents confirming the booking of accommodation, a return ticket, an insurance policy, and sufficient funds for the trip.
It was also emphasized that during border control it is important to give clear, consistent and truthful answers to the officers' questions.
