A rockfall descended onto a road in the Uzun district of Surxondaryo region. No one was injured as a result of the incident, and traffic has been restored. The regional administration reported this.
According to reports, at approximately 03:30 on 24 October, a rockfall occurred between the 21st and 22nd kilometres of the 75V040 road passing through the district.
Employees of the Emergency Situations Department, road service workers and special equipment were involved at the scene. As a result of prompt measures, the road was cleared of rocks by 07:30.
No injuries or damage to vehicles were recorded as a result of the incident. Currently, the road is fully open and traffic has been restored.
Officials urged drivers to be cautious in mountainous areas and to comply with road signs and safety requirements.
