“On the priority measures for reforming the system of managing migration processes” Presidential Decree (PF-162, dated October 17, 2024) was adopted. The Ministry of Justice reported this.
According to the decree, the Agency for External Labor Migration was abolished, and the Migration Agency was established under the Cabinet of Ministers.
The fund for supporting individuals engaged in labor activities abroad and protecting their rights and interests has been transferred to the Agency, on the basis of which the Migration Fund will be established.
The Agency is considered the authorized executive state authority responsible for implementing state policy in the field of external labor migration, coordinating the activities of state bodies in this area, and providing state services in this field.
From January 1, 2025:
Private employment agencies will be allowed to conduct inspection activities related to the inspection of the activities;
The Agency is obliged to mandatorily post information on protocols drawn up as a result of any inspections conducted by it, the number and nature of detected legal violations, within 5 days to the “Work Abroad” electronic system.
