The Uzbekistan delegation participated in the opening ceremony of the 2026 Winter Olympic Games. At the ceremony, Daniil Eybog, a member of the Uzbekistan national short-track team, served as the delegation's flag bearer.
The Uzbekistan delegation secured a total of 4 Olympic quotas for this prestigious competition. Dmitry Chigirev and Ekaterina Geinish in pairs figure skating, Medet Nazarov in alpine skiing (slalom and giant slalom), and Daniil Eybog in short-track (500 meters) obtained Olympic licenses.
However, during the preparation process, Dmitry Chigirev suffered an injury and could not fully recover before the Olympic Games. Therefore, Uzbekistan athletes will compete in the Milan-Cortina-2026 competitions in alpine skiing and short-track disciplines.
