The National Agency for Social Protection and the Ministry of Internal Affairs, under the supervision of the staff of the temporary detention center for juvenile offenders of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation in the Novosibirsk region, repatriated a juvenile citizen residing in the Andijan region back to Uzbekistan.

Regarding this case, the child had gone to the Russian Federation based on a power of attorney from a close relative of the parents, but since this power of attorney was not legally valid in the territory of Russia, the juvenile was considered to be without parental care.

In this context, within the framework of the Minsk Convention adopted on October 7, 2002, it was determined that the juvenile citizen must be returned to Uzbekistan.

We remind that during this year, more than 100 Uzbek juvenile citizens have been repatriated to their homeland and entrusted to the care of their parents or close relatives.

The measures for repatriating children in difficult situations abroad and providing them with social assistance continue to be carried out by the National Agency for Social Protection.
