During the 9 months of 2024, a total of 3,004,549 local and foreign tourists visited our country's museums. This was reported by Mohinur Imomova, head of the Information Service of the Cultural Heritage Agency, during a briefing held at the Public Affairs Agency briefing.
In order to attract a wide range of local and foreign tourists to museums, 27 museums have been equipped with gift and souvenir shops, craftsmen's studios and sales outlets, online stores, spaces for painters, artists and folklore teams, craftsmen, and for photoshoots.
To create inclusive conditions in museums, 53 museums have been equipped with ramp pathways, 9 museums have been fitted with lifting devices (elevators), and audio guides have been organized in about 35 museums.
During the corresponding period of 2024, the number of certificates issued for the exportation of cultural values amounted to 918, based on which the number of items allowed to be exported from the republic was 10,980, while the number of certificates issued for the temporary exportation of cultural values was 34, with the number of items being 369.
As of September 1, 2024, a total of 8,366 cultural heritage objects (7,836 state property, 530 private property) within the territory of the republic were included in the national list based on the decision of the Cabinet of Ministers No. 846, and this list was reformed.
