Yesterday, December 3, the President of South Korea declared a state of emergency. Parliament members voted to repeal the military state of emergency imposed by President Yoon Suk Yeol in the evening.
The leader of the opposition Democratic Party, Lee Jae-myung, called the decree on the state of emergency "illegal", and also called for the police and military to "return to their places and not comply with the illegal orders related to the state of emergency.
Following this, President Yoon Suk Yeol agreed to repeal the state of emergency in accordance with the demands of parliament.
Military personnel involved in the imposition of the state of emergency regime have been returned to their military units.
