In 2023 alone, commercial banks were directed resources worth 9 trillion UZS for mortgage housing for 31,000 families, and 1.6 trillion UZS in subsidies were allocated to cover the initial payment and interest rates.
It is emphasized that processes related to obtaining subsidies by individuals suffering from severe forms of chronic diseases and in need of living in separate rooms have imposed several tasks on the Ministry of Health.
As a result of the study conducted on “Assessing the risks of dishonesty in granting state subsidized mortgage loans,” it was revealed that, along with the work carried out, there are still unresolved issues in the sector. This was reported by the Senate press service.
In particular, the decision of the Cabinet of Ministers dated March 25, 2020, No. 182, stipulated the development, legal confirmation, and public announcement of a list of individuals suffering from severe forms of chronic diseases and in need of separate living spaces; however, the development and approval process of this list has not been completed.
Although there is a need to create the possibility of electronically monitoring and updating information about patients' chronic diseases for regional medical institutions, sufficient attention has not been paid to digitizing patients' medical history.
These situations are causing citizens, including those suffering from serious chronic diseases, to face problems related to obtaining subsidies, leading to an increase in appeals to state bodies and organizations. This is evidenced by the 1137 appeals received by the Senate of the Oliy Majlis during the 10 months of 2024 regarding housing issues.
Necessary measures aimed at resolving the problems of citizens undergoing severe chronic diseases have been requested from the Ministry of Health by the Senate Committee on Judicial-Legal Issues and Anti-Corruption through a senatorial inquiry. The Ministry of Health is expected to provide reasoned explanations on the raised issues by December 17 of this year.
