A "Cobalt" carrying a trailer full of pyrotechnics was detained in Tashkent.

As noted, this has been the largest case of pyrotechnics detected at customs for the current year.

The Tashkent city Customs Department's Anti-Smuggling Division, in collaboration with the state security services and internal affairs agencies, conducted a rapid operation  that put a stop to the illegal circulation of a large quantity of pyrotechnic devices. The Customs Committee's press service reported this.

In the rapid operation conducted in the Yangihayot district, a "Cobalt" vehicle, which was previously under surveillance, was stopped, and the attached cargo trailer was inspected. As a result, it was revealed that the trailer was loaded with more than 562,000 units of pyrotechnic devices across 7 different categories. 

The total value of the confiscated fireworks and firecrackers is initially estimated to exceed 400 million soums.

 Customs investigations regarding the case are currently ongoing.
