In Kyrgyzstan's Osh region, a 28-year-old foreign woman was arrested on suspicion of preparing and distributing extremist materials through social networks. This was reported by the press service of the Kyrgyzstan State Committee for National Security here.
"During joint operational activities on monitoring and analyzing the Internet carried out by the cooperation of the Kyrgyzstan State Committee for National Security and the Osh regional Internal Affairs Department, information was obtained about an active user of Instagram and TikTok platforms who posted materials of extremist and terrorist content on their pages.
This case has been recorded in the single register of crimes under the signs of a crime provided by Article 332 of the Criminal Code (preparation, distribution of extremist materials). The expertise materials indicated that they belong to the international terrorist organization "Islamic State", which is banned in the territory of Kyrgyzstan.
According to the information identified by special services and law enforcement agencies, the suspect was found to be Sh.N.Sh., a citizen of Uzbekistan born in 1997.
She advertised and sold jihad-themed audio "nasheeds" by placing them in videos promoting women's religious headwear - "niqab" on social networks.
Currently, the woman has been placed in a temporary detention prison, and the investigation is ongoing.
