“On the establishment of the International University of Turkic States” The President's Decree (PQ-24, January 25, 2025) was adopted. The Ministry of Justice reported this.
According to the decision, the International University of Turkic States will be established in Tashkent city.
The following have been identified as the main directions of the University's activity, including:
- training of highly qualified personnel in accordance with international standards for engineering, construction, logistics, information technologies and programming, healthcare, agriculture, food industry as well as the economic and social sectors;
- implementation of educational programs in cooperation with foreign, including leading higher education institutions in Turkey, as well as on the basis of joint educational programs and conducting scientific research.
The University is considered a non-state higher education institution and operates in accordance with the legislation of Uzbekistan in the field of education.
From the 2025/2026 academic year, education at the University will be organized based on the educational programs of institutions of higher education in the Republic of Turkey, which are included in the top 1000 in the rankings of internationally recognized organizations, as well as those considered leading in their field.
Education at the University will be conducted on a fee-contract basis, and the admission parameters and the amount of the fee-contract will be determined by the University.
A governing council will be established to initiate and coordinate the activities of the University.
