In 2024, the Tashkent metro carried 270.3 million passengers. This figure is 98.3 million (or 57.2 percent) more compared to 2023, indicating the rapid development of the city's transport system and the increasing popularity of the metro among both residents and visitors of the capital. The Ministry of Transport reported this.

Changes in passenger flow in recent years:

2020 year – 38.8 mln

 2021 year – 101.8 mln

 2022 year – 136.7 mln
 2023 year – 172.0 mln

 2024 year – 270.3 mln

The sharp increase in passenger flow is the result of extensive measures taken to develop and modernize the metro, including:

Launching new stations and expanding the metro network

Improving the quality of service and travel comfort

Increasing the capacity of lines

Increasing the frequency of movement and the number of operating trains
