Reports have spread on social media that a female teacher in the Fergana region committed suicide due to severe pressure over not having a foreign language certificate. The regional Department of Preschool and School Education commented on the situation.

According to the department, the circulated reports about this matter do not correspond to the truth. During the investigation, no such case was identified in the general secondary schools of the Fergana region.

The circulated reports claimed that the woman was dismissed for not having a B2-level foreign language certificate and emphasized that she faced severe pressure. The department denied this.
