ChatGPT might fall into the hands of billionaire Elon Musk, founder of OpenAI

Musk is planning to acquire the artificial intelligence giant OpenAI. According to Reuters news agency, Elon promises to shift the company to an open source principle and create neural networks that will benefit all of humanity .

A group of investors led by Elon Musk has made a bid of 97.4 billion dollars to gain control of OpenAI. This move could further intensify the existing conflicts between Musk and OpenAI CEO Sam Altman.

Musk co-founded OpenAI as a non-profit organization with Altman in 2015 but left before its rapid development. In 2023, he established a competing artificial intelligence startup, xAI.

OpenAI is currently planning to transition from a non-profit organization to a commercial company, aimed at attracting the necessary capital for the development of artificial intelligence models. Musk, however, opposes these changes, wanting to maintain OpenAI as an open-source and security-focused organization.

In response to Musk's offer, Sam Altman wrote, "No, thank you, but if you want, we can sell you Twitter for 9.74 billion dollars." This recalls Musk's acquisition of Twitter in 2022.

Of course, this statement is a joke, as the final decision will be made by the OpenAI board of directors.

However, Musk's offer could complicate OpenAI's transition process into a commercial company. According to some analysts, this offer might affect OpenAI's future financing processes.

Previously, Musk had sued OpenAI and Altman, accusing them of prioritizing profit over public interest in the development of artificial intelligence. He has demanded a halt to OpenAI's transition into a commercial company.

This situation intensifies the competition and contradictions between Musk and Altman in the field of artificial intelligence.
