In social networks, a video has spread showing a black Gentra driver hitting a pedestrian in Namangan and fleeing the scene.
According to the Press Service of the Regional Department of Internal Affairs, the incident occurred on February 11th of this year at around 06:40. An unidentified person, driving a Gentra make car in A.Temur street of Namangan city, hit a pedestrian, a citizen of Namangan city born in 1958, crossing the road and fled the scene.
As a result, the pedestrian died on the spot due to the injuries sustained.
A criminal case has been initiated regarding this incident by the Investigation Department of the Namangan City Department of Internal Affairs under Article 117, part 2, and Article 266, part 2, of the Criminal Code.
Search operations to find the unidentified driver are being conducted, with black Gentra make cars being inspected by experts, and permission is being given after the completion of the inspections.
