The Deputy Prosecutor General Sh. Aminov chaired a critical meeting in the Samarkand region addressing the corruption cases in the energy sector and initiatives to transform the system into a “corruption-free sector.” This was reported by the Ministry of Energy.
It was attended by employees of the “Regional Electric Networks” and “Hududgazta'minot” joint-stock companies from the Samarkand region and its districts and cities branches, as well as other responsible personnel.
During the meeting, pretrial detention measures were applied to 7 employees accused of committing corruption crimes in the supply companies.
Furthermore, at the conclusion of the meeting, the leaders of the supply companies were instructed to make significant changes in the sector, to strictly ensure execution and labor discipline, and to especially strengthen preventive measures among employees to prevent corruption cases.
