When paying for a labor leave, Sunday is no longer considered.

Changes such as taking time off work or substituting part of a vacation for compensation may lead to a reduction in payments.

In Uzbekistan, Sundays will no longer be considered for the annual paid leave compensation. The Labor Code is supplemented<="" a>="" with="" the="" relevant="" article.<="" span><="" p="">

The document specifies that Sundays will not be counted for cash compensation during the exchange of annual leave for compensation at the time of an employee's resignation.

Now, the duration of unpaid leave must not exceed 3 months in total during a 12-month period. Until now, it was necessary that the duration of the last unpaid leave granted does not exceed 3 months continuously or in total necessarily within a year from the day it was given.

In addition, individuals under 18 years of age will not be allowed to work on a replacement basis. If the replacement’s main job is associated with unfavorable working conditions, then working under such conditions (except for employees of healthcare organizations) is also prohibited.

Parents of two or more children under the age of 12 or of a child under the age of 16 with a disability (or the person acting as a guardian) are entitled, if they wish, to an unpaid leave of at least 14 calendar days annually.
