A piece of the Kiswa, the covering of the Holy Kaaba, will be placed at the center of Islamic civilization.

The facsimile of the Great Langar Quran published by the center, and a copy of one of the letters of our Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, transcribed by the calligrapher Habibulloh Salih, were presented to the guests.

The President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, received a delegation led by the Minister of Hajj and Umrah Affairs of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Tawfiq bin Fawzan al-Rabiah, on February 19th. .

At the beginning of the meeting, the high-ranking guest delivered the greetings and sincere wishes of the King of Saudi Arabia, Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, as well as the Crown Prince and Prime Minister of the country, Muhammad bin Salman Al Saud, to our state leader. Moreover, the minister presented to our President a gift from the King – a piece of the Kiswah, the cloth covering of the Kaaba, to the multiethnic people of Uzbekistan.  

The piece of the Kiswah will bear an explanation that it is a gift from King Salman bin Abdulaziz bin Abdulrahman Al Saud to the multiethnic people of Uzbekistan, as per the instructions of our state leader.

The directive of our President to place the piece of Kiswah in the Center of Islamic Civilization was indeed a historic and honorable event for us, - says the Director of the Center, Firdavs Abdukhalikov. - This present is a bright example of the high respect and regard towards our country, which has produced great scholars of Islam, towards our people and our President. We announced this great news at a meeting held with the team of the Center on the same day. The scientists and creative staff of the Center joyfully accepted this noble news, thanking our state leader for his high regard. Our partners are congratulating us on receiving such a blessed gift through our respected President. Certainly, the piece of the holy Kaaba's Kiswah will remain one of the most precious exhibits at the Center.

We express our sincere gratitude to our respected President for such a priceless gift.   
The Minister of Hajj and Umrah of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia also visited the mega-project being constructed on the initiative of the President of Uzbekistan - the Center of Islamic Civilization in Uzbekistan, and acquainted himself with the projects being implemented by the Center.  

– My impressions are wonderful! The Centre of Islamic Civilization in Uzbekistan, initiated by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, is a truly unique project. The building and its grandeur are commendable. We would be pleased to contribute to its further development, even if modestly. This is exactly how I imagined the Center of Islamic Civilization should look. Seeing it with my own eyes, I was impressed. It is evident that a great deal of work and effort has been put into this, - said Tawfiq bin Fawzan al-Rabiah.

Negotiations dedicated to the cooperation between the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah of the Kingdom and the Center of Islamic Civilization of Uzbekistan resulted in an agreement to create a documentary film dedicated to the history and present state of Hajj and Umrah in Uzbekistan. The film will showcase the early period of Islam's spread in our region up to the recent past, the challenges and difficulties faced by Uzbek Muslims in performing Hajj and Umrah, and the new opportunities available in the New Uzbekistan. Furthermore, the film will also highlight the favorable conditions created for Uzbek pilgrims and the friendly relations between Uzbekistan and Saudi Arabia.

At the end of the meeting, the guests were presented with a facsimile of the Large Langar Quran published by the Center on the initiative of the President of Uzbekistan and a copy of one of the Prophet Muhammad’s letters transcribed by calligrapher Habibullo Salih.
