Problems in agriculture were discussed in the new debate club.
In recent years, the efficiency and profitability of the agricultural sector in Uzbekistan have been the subject of much discussion.
The first meeting of the new debate club called “Point of Progress” was dedicated to this very issue.
During the discussion, sector specialists, practitioners, and economists exchanged views on the main issues in agriculture and ways to solve them.
Special attention was paid to the following issues during the discussions:
— practical solutions to increase yield and profitability;
— systematizing the chain from product cultivation to market entry;
— issues with water supply, agrotechnology, and financing;
— protecting the interests of farmers and creating appropriate conditions for them.
