According to the report by Uzhydromet, yesterday during the day and the past night, cold and humid air masses from the Caucasus regions began to enter the territory of Uzbekistan.
The influx of these air masses will continue today.
Today, on March 3, snowfall will continue in most parts of the territory, and the temperature will be around 0-5 degrees below zero. In the second half of the day, snowfall will stop in the Republic of Karakalpakstan and Khorezm region.
On March 4, precipitation-free weather is expected in all regions of Uzbekistan. Only in some mountainous areas of the republic, some snowfall is possible. At night and in the morning, the influence of the cold anticyclone still remains, with temperatures around 2-7 degrees below zero. During the day, the anticyclone will gradually recede from the territory of the republic. The temperature will rise to 4-7 degrees above zero, but this is still relatively low for the beginning of March.
Fog may descend in some areas of the republic.
Precipitation-free weather is expected in all regions of Uzbekistan on March 5-6.
On March 7, precipitation in the form of rain is expected in some areas of the republic (excluding the Fergana Valley).
Only in the north of Uzbekistan – in Ustyurt and the areas around the Aral Sea, the rain may turn into snow. From the middle of the week, the temperature will rapidly start to rise, and
by the nights of March 6-7, reaching 5-8 degrees above zero, during daytime 14-17 degrees above zero, in the south up to 20-22 degrees above zero.
On March 3 and March 7, wind speed may increase to 17-22 m/s in some places, sometimes even reaching 23-25 m/s in certain areas.
In Tashkent: Snow will fall from time to time on March 3. The temperature will be 0-2 degrees below zero.
There will be no precipitation expected on March 4-6. Rain might fall towards the evening of March 7. The temperature on March 4 will be 3-5 degrees below zero at night, 5-7 degrees above zero during the day. On March 5-7, the temperature will rise to 4-7 degrees above zero at night, and during the daytime to 14-17 degrees above zero.
