Between the 12th and 14th of March this year, 19 Uzbekistan citizens, including women previously arrested by Saudi Arabian law enforcement agencies, were returned to our country.

As a result of negotiations carried out with the competent authorities of Saudi Arabia by the Embassy of Uzbekistan, all those arrested managed to return to the bosom of their families.

Citizens of Uzbekistan entered Saudi Arabia with tourist visas but remained in the country with the intention of finding employment without obtaining the necessary permissions.

Among the detainees were compatriots who had not yet reached the age of 20. Some of them had left for travel without informing their relatives, causing distress and active searches by their families.

"We strongly advise all our citizens planning to travel abroad to study the legislation of the host country in advance, to respect local traditions and standards, and to ensure legality and prepare all the necessary documents for employment. Additionally, we recommend learning the basics of the host country's language for communication in various situations. If you encounter difficulties in Saudi Arabia, you can contact the embassy in Riyadh or the Consulate General in Jeddah," the report states.
